Skunk Records is a Long Beach, California based record label that was founded by Michael "Miguel" Happoldt and Bradley Nowell in 1990. Skunk is affiliated with the spinoff label Cornerstone R.A.S.
The inspiration for forming a record label came to Happoldt in 1989 as a way to release music for his band the Ziggens. Happoldt met Nowell shortly thereafter, who insisted on having Sublime backed by the nascent label. Happoldt was selective in choosing other acts, which later included Slightly Stoopid, Juice Bros, Philieano, Toko Tasi, and Paulie Nugent.

Orko is a character from Masters of the Universe, though he was not originally developed for the 80s toy line, but was instead created by to provide comic relief in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series. Owing to the popularity of the series and the character, an Orko action figure was later released. Interestingly, the character was named Gorpo in the early original series drafts, and that name was still used in the Brazilian Portuguese dub of the original series, but he was renamed Orko for animation purposes as artists often flipped the character cells to reuse previously created sequences, so putting a "G" on Orko's shirt would have complicated the process.
1974 (MCMLXXIV) was a common year starting on Tuesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 1974th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 974th year of the 2nd millennium, the 74th year of the 20th century, and the 5th year of the 1970s decade.

As the Earth crosses the tail of a comet, previously inanimate machines suddenly spring to life. Chaos sets in as machines of all kinds begin attacking humans. At the Dixie Boy Truck Stop in Wilmington, North Carolina, a small group of people hold up inside and do their best to plan their survival as the rabid machines swarm outside. This is the gist of 1986's horror comedy, Maximum Overdrive, which was set in and around the Dixie Boy Truck Stop and based on King's 1973 short story, Trucks.

In 1988, the crime rate in the United States rises four hundred percent. A fifty-foot containment wall is erected along the New Jersey shoreline, across the Harlem river, and down along the Brooklyn shoreline. It completely surrounds Manhattan Island. The United States Police Force, like an army, is encamped around the island. There are no guards inside the prison: only prisoners and the worlds they have made. The rules are simple. Once you go in, you don’t come out.
